The event brought together nearly 300 officials, teachers, and students, with the core force coming from the Youth Union, the Children's Council, teachers in charge of extracurricular activities, and physical education teachers from 126 communes and wards.
Speaking at the program, Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Youth Union, Chairman of the Hanoi Children's Council, and Director of the Hanoi Children's Palace, Duong Minh Duc, emphasized: "Preventing drowning is not just about teaching children to swim. Even those who know how to swim can still be in danger if they lack the necessary response skills. The important thing is to help children identify risks, know how to protect themselves, use flotation devices, and call for help correctly. Each skill acquired today can contribute to ensuring safety, and even saving a life."
